Within our ISO 9001 quality system, Aerocom can provide you with custom stainless steel flexible metal hose assemblies which meet your temperature and pressure requirements for even the most challenging applications. We offer various types of metal hose (general use corrugated metal hose as well as heavy duty stainless steel flexible hose). Aerocom’s flexible metal hose is built with premium stainless steel corrugated hose, in SS316, with stainless steel 304 braid. SS316 braided hose is also available. For special applications other materials are available.
Your stainless steel flexible hose assemblies can be supplied with Aerocom’s SS316L butt-weld 710 series fittings. While our flanged hoses are a very popular style, they are also available with threaded (schedule 40, 80) pipe ends or elbows, and many more ends, in carbon or stainless steel. Our 710 series weld-on fittings are available in JIC, NPT, 90 or 45º elbows, and for special applications we can provide BSPP, MS or other threads as well.

Signature stainless steel
Stainless steel is inert to practically all commercial chemicals, acids, alcohols, coolants, elastomers, petroleum compounds, solvents vinyl’s, synthetic lubricants and hydraulic fluids. It is also impervious to atmospheric conditions. It will therefore not rust or deteriorate over time even in challenging environments and most importantly will not break down and contaminate the application material, fluid or gas.
Stainless steel 316 has been approved by the FDA and other governmental organizations for use in food handling and pharmaceutical applications. Stainless steel 316 is more resistant than 304 to salt (which is found in most foods). It is easy to clean and sterilize which makes it the perfect material for these applications.
Stainless Steel 316L is the standard material for our adapters and hose couplings. We can also provide our flexible metal hose assemblies with SS316 braid and hose. We have selected this material because of its combined chemical and mechanical properties that make it the best material for your specialized applications.

FMH3 series
Aerocom’s annular hose with standard pitch corrugations, light weight, medium flexibility, is available in 1/4’’ to 2”. The FMH3 hose has high coverage braid (compared to FMH4) and available in longer lengths.
FMH4 series
Our popular FMH4 series offers a blend of high coverage braid that provides higher working pressures with premium protection. It is stocked in 1/4’’ through 4”, as braided or unbraided hose.
FMH7 series
This FMH7 hose has annular corrugations with standard pitch (open and compressed pitch available upon request), medium weight / medium flexibility, available from 1/4’’ to 14”, stocked as braided or unbraided hose.
FMH8 series
Aerocom’s FMH8 also has annular corrugations but with close pitch. This is a heavy-duty metal hose designed for higher pressure and longer resistance to chemical corrosion.
FMH9 series
Our FMH9 series is annular close pitch corrugations, heavy weight / medium flexibility, available from 1/4’’ to 2”. This is a heavy duty (heavy walled) metal hose designed for extreme pressure and longer resistance to chemical corrosion.

Flanges
Our flanges are compliant with A/SA-182 and are available in SS316, SS304 or CS. Our team can weld floating lap joint, fixed raised-face or other types of flanges that are required for your application.

This is a sampling of the end fittings that can be welded onto your custom flexible metal hose assembly.
710 series
Aerocom’s butt weld 710 series, weld-on couplings, come prepped and ready to weld onto ¼” to 2” flexible metal hose. The most commonly used stainless steel 316L fitting terminations in inventory include female JIC and male NPT.
Adaptateurs
Tube adapters
Our stainless steel tube fittings are more commonly called JICs. Our SAE J514 parallel threaded tube adapters (37° flare seating surface) are, in many cases, better suited for higher pressure fitting applications. We offer JICs in stainless steel caps, plugs elbows, tees, crosses, straights, and bulkhead adapters.
O-Ring adapters
O-ring adapters, also known as ORB or SAE adapters, have parallel threads which seal with the o-ring on the chamfer of the mating part. We offer our ORB fittings in stainless steel 316L in straight, elbows, plugs, adjustables, tees, as well as converting to other threads (such as JIC or NPT) on the second end.
Pipe adapters
We offer SS316 NPT adapters in straight, elbows, caps, plugs, unions, bushings, expanders and reducers. We also offer NPSM ends with a 30° cone which seats on the 30° chamfer on our male NPT end. Unlike the stainless steel tube fittings, the NPT adapters seal on the tapered threads (and in some applications, with thread lubricant of some type).
